Q: Do you accept Insurance?
|
A: Yes and No. I am an out of network provider so it is up to your individual insurance plan what fee they reimburse for my services. I have a very knowledgeable billing staff that will work with you and your insurance and do all claim submission.

Q: Do you prescribe medication?
|
A: No. I am a clinical psychologist. However when treatment requires medication, I will work closely with the prescribing doctor, likely a psychiatrist, to provide the best care possible using a treatment team approach.

Q: How long will therapy take?
|
A: Cognitive behavioral therapy is time limited and has a shorter duration than many other types of therapy. The average length of therapy is 16 sessions. However the length of your treatment will be based on your individual needs.

Q: What are the office hours?
|
A: I have flexible day and evening hours.

Q: How often will I have therapy?
|
A: Typically you will be seen one time per week. Again, dependent upon your needs we many have more or less frequent appointments.

Q: Why see a clinical psychologist?
|
A: A clinical Psychologist has the highest degree attainable in the field, a doctorate. I am a doctor of psychology (Psy.D.). I have had rigorous training in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.
